Aiming to sustain industry growth momentum through proactive engagement, the Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association (MDPPA) inducts its new set of officers for 2019 during the Induction Ceremony held on February 28 at EDSA Shangri-La Hotel in Mandaluyong City.
The association is now led by Mr. Alfredo O. Lejano, Jr. of Yamaha Motor Philippines, Inc. as the new President, Ms. Ma. Lisette G. Fajardo (Suzuki Philippines, Inc. ) as Vice President, Mr. Virgilio A. Montaño (Kawasaki Motors (Phils.) Corporation) as Treasurer and Mr. Armando B. Reyes (Honda Philippines, Inc.) as Auditor.
Keynote Speaker Rep. Cesar V. Sarmiento, Chairman of the House Committee on Transportation (CoTr), took pride on the association’s accomplishments for the past year, which were supportive to the committee’s initiatives for the motorcycle industry.
Also inducted were the committee heads: Mr. Marvin A. Aquino (Suzuki) for Marketing, Mr. Joseph T. dela Cruz (Honda) for Road Safety, Mr. Virgilio A. Montaño (Kawasaki) for Technical, and Ms. Vicelyn V. Layno (MDPPA) for Government.
The event was also graced by government, industry and media partners and friends.
“MDPPA’s new vision: The most relevant motorcycle association, proactive to the needs of industry stakeholders, geared towards global competitiveness and sustainable development of the motorcycle industry” complements this year’s theme “Sustaining momentum through proactive engagement. We endeavor to be more proactive in building meaningful communication and engagement with our shareholders” said Mr. Lejano.
