The Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association Inc. (MDPPA), together with its member brands, joined the recently concluded 12th Inside Racing Bikefest at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. Motorcycle riders club officers from various groups converged at the MDPPA booth to sign up for a road safety seminar schedule to be held in their locality.
Helmet Save Lives stickers and Road Safety handbooks were also distributed to all guests through out the three-day event. Meanwhile, member brands Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Kymco held individual exhibits at the main hall.
Honda Philippines Inc. (HPI) rolled out their new campaign “ONE DREAM”. This new communication campaign aims to unite all motorcycle riders to carry over the goal of uniting Filipinos by serving as a tool in helping people achieve their dream.
Another highlight is the showcase of HPI’s latest collection of spectacular Honda motorcycles of various segments, including The New Honda BeAT color variants and All-New PCX150 for the Automatic (AT) segment, The New CBR150R for the high on-road sports segment, and The All-New CRF150L for the off-road sports segment. HPI also introduced two of its newest Big Bike models during the event, namely the CBR1000RR FIREBLADE SP and HONDA CB1100EX, to complete its line-up of Big Bikes.
Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) launched the Yamaha Club Tour De Rev. YMPH Marketing Customer Relations Head, Mr. Hansel Leyva, revealed the plan for the nationwide tour for Yamaha Club memebers which have legs in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The presentation of Yamaha MOTOROiD caused quite the buzz with its futuristic design.
The Yamaha concept motorcycle had the ability to be turned on, turned off, move forward and backwards, turn left and right, all with the hand gesture of its rider. The arrival of Miollennials, Nadine Lustre and BoybandPH caused quite a spectacle.On stage they were joined by YMPH President Mr. Toru Osugi, Sales and Marketing Division Head, Mr. Akihiro Maruo, and Marketing Section Senior Manager Mr. Jude Camus.
First-time exhibitor Kawasaki Motors (Phils.) Corporation filled their sizeable staging area with a display of their extensive product line-up. Available for public appreciation were the recently launched W 250 and W 175. Moreover, visitors flock at the Dominar 400 display. Suzuki’s exhibit featured the Twin Pillar Hub. The design concept of this year’s booth is built on the foundation of the Suzuki Next 100 campaign serving as its pillars. The Suzuki Next 100 Campaign signifies the brand’s promise to guide each customer toward a beautifully satisfying future in comfort following its signature Japanese precision technology in the next 100 years. The Twin in Suzuki Twin Pillar Hub indicates Suzuki’s alliance with its riders, a partnership that puts its customers first in crafting forms of mobility that will perfectly fit their lifestyles.
It was complimented by the presence of this generation’s hottest celebrities being led by Team Suzuki’s Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil who shared the fun of the latest dance craze – Suzuki, Para sa Lahat ng Trip Mo Dance Challenge of which the crowd gamely danced on. Adding glitter to the event are the talented and beautiful actress/scriptwriter/film director Bela Padilla, the stunning, sexy and witty Valeen Montenegro, the hottest calendar girl and cosplay princess Myrtle Sarrosa, the Pinoy HipHop Icon Ex-Battalion and the Millenial Trio JBK. DJ and singer Joyce Pring, Youtube sensation Ashley Rivera aka Petra Mahalimuyak and renowned DJs Nicole Hyala and Chris Tsuper hosted the Suzuki Twin Pillar Hub events.

About the MDPPA
The Philippine Motorcycle Manufacturing Program (PMMP) Association was established in 1973 based on the basic principles of the Philippine Motor Vehicle Development Program (MVDP) which was implemented by the Board of Investments (BOI). In 1987, new MVDP guidelines were finalized and program name was, likewise, changed to Motorcycle Development Program (MDP). The Association was given the new name of Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association, Inc. (MDPPA) in 1989.
The current five members of the association (Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha and Kymco) are all active participants of the government’s Motor Vehicle Development Program (MVDP).
